GIFT AID

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation by using a Government scheme called 'Gift Aid'. For every pound you give, Escape Artists will receive an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue. With gift aid, a £10 donation will therefore be worth £12.80 to us – and it doesn’t cost you a thing! Simply tick the “Gift Aid” box on our gift forms.

On top of this, as a higher rate taxpayer you are eligible to reclaim as much as £23 from the taxman for every £100 donated to us. This is the difference between the basic rate (22%) and the higher rate (40%) of income tax, calculated on the basis of the gross value of your donation. A £100 donation would therefore be worth £128 to us, but cost you only £77. All you need to do is tick the Gift Aid box on our gift forms and include the details of your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment form.
